Ofcom is looking to make 26GHz band available to support 5G indoor applications
The IoRL vision is to provide improved 5G connectivity indoors. In a recent statement Ofcom announced that it’s looking to make 2.25GHz of spectrum between the 24.25GHz and 26.5GHz frequencies available, with this spectrum supposedly set to “support 5G indoor applications.” Details of the availability of this spectrum should be revealed during the Summer 2019.
The IoRL solution responds to such indoor communication demands that are of concern and in the focus of Ofcom plans and can operate at the envisioned frequency to support any such planned indoor 5G roll-out.
